Choosing Your Pneumatic Piercing Tools
Home »
Pneumatic piercing tools go by many names, including missiles, hole hogs, horizontal jack hammers, and more. No matter what you choose to call these tools, Pow-R Mole Trenchless Solutions has a full selection of reciprocating and fixed heads to meet all of your needs. Whether you’re new to providing trenchless services or you’re ready to invest in some additional equipment in order to expand your operations, we have got the piercing tools you need.
Hard Soil Type
If you’re drilling through hard soil, such as dry clay, you’ll need reciprocating heads on your pneumatic underground piercing tools. These heads are specially designed to handle the thick, heavy soil and vibrations it causes as the head moves through it. We offer reciprocating piercing tool heads by Grundomat. Choose from extraction, bursting, keyhole, or vertical head configurations.
Soft Soil Conditions
For soft soils, including loam and sand, choose a stationary or fixed head. These heads hold steady even as the shifty soil moves around them. The anvil-shaped head allows it to quickly move through the soil. Choose from Allied, Grundomat, or Hudco pneumatic piercing tools with fixed heads.
Size Matters
You’ll need a fixed or reciprocating head that’s larger than the diameter of pipe or conduit you plan to install. We have piercing heads ranging in size from 1.75 inches to 8 inches in diameter for installing up to 8-inch pipes. If you provide service to residential, commercial, and municipal clients, we recommend selecting one of the Allied, Hudco, or Grundomat pneumatic piercing tools in each size and head types.
With the right pneumatic piercing tools, your business will be more productive and profitable. We’re proud to offer Grundomat, Hudco, and Allied piercing tools at affordable prices.
